MANUFACTURING

Grovemark has developed a state of art manufacturing facility, deploying latest machines for manufacture of creams, lotions, etc. Whilst maintaining stringent international quality control standards and adhering to strictest norms in development process we are well equipped with in-house laboratories too. Our manufacturing norms compete with the leading cosmetic brands in production. Following standard procedures acceptable worldwide.

ENVIRONMENT

The premises for manufacturing is suitably located, designed, constructed and maintained. Effective measures are taken to avoid any contamination from the surrounding environment and from pests. The complete plant is installed with AHU so as to avoid product contamination. Our production buildings are adequately lit and properly ventilated appropriate to the operations being carried out.

MATERIALS

Grovemark production materials are specially imported Green ingredients. Our basic ingredients are eco as well as skin friendly. We use elements which have undergone little or no processing and contain no chemical additives. Ingredients like aloe vera, jojoba oil, shea butter, lecithin, and grapefruit seed extract are used in majority of our productions. As an added bonus, most of the ingredients used are certified organic Green substances.

PRODUCTION

Once the materials for production are obtained our manufacturing cycle of products begins. Starting materials like water is given special attention since it is an important raw material. Water production equipment and water systems installed in the plant supply quality water for processing of the goods. These water systems are sanitized according to well-established procedures. Grovemark strictly makes use of pasteurised water in all their production requirements. There are a vast number of processes involved in the manufacturing of cosmetics. Aiming for a product as specified by design, and grasping the great importance of a product which comes into direct contact with the skin requires greater attention. All deliveries of raw materials and packaging materials are checked and verified for their conformity to specifications and are traceable to the product.

The production process can be divided into several stages, which each of the product goes through.

• Weighing of materials:
  Grovemark conducts careful weighing of raw materials to ensure creation of quality products. All materials are inspected on aspects including smell, bacterial content and purity, and then carefully weighed. To ensure competence here, a double check system involving a worker as well as another co-worker, is employed.
• Emulsification:
  Based on physical properties, such as viscosity of the material involved, the most appropriate mixing equipment is selected. With temperature, churning power and cooling speed carefully controlled, a stable high quality emulsion is obtained. These equipment are constantly monitored, and maintained in accordance to GMP certifications.
• Filling of the bottles:
  In acquiring a high quality product at low cost, choosing a filling machine most suited for the job, is important. In the filling process, advantage is taken also of advanced fabrication technologies, such as melting fabrication. The filling machine thus selected, follows standard safety norms, alongside with ensuring increase in the production rate.
• Packaging:
  Customer satisfaction is further enhanced through the presentation of attractively packaged cosmetics with the highest quality of contents. The products are optimally packed, so that it may arrive to the customer in perfect shape.
• Quality check:
  Product quality is guaranteed in an economical and highly assured way, by the combination of a comprehensive inspection (in-line inspection of all pieces) in the production line, and random inspections. Furthermore, the finished products undergo a strict in house testing, along side with being tested in two external specialized laboratories. For SPF measurement, we send the finished product for testing in Australia and Thailand.

After the manufacturing process, every finished product bears a production identification number which enables the history of the product to be traced. Liquids, creams and lotions are produced in such a way as to protect the product from microbial and other contamination. The use of closed systems for production and transfer is followed.

QUALITY CONTROL

All finished products are approved by Quality Control prior to release. Quality control is an essential part of Grovemark. It provides assurance that cosmetic products we produce is of consistent quality and appropriate to their intended use. Grovemark quality control procedures involves sampling, inspecting and testing of starting materials, in process, intermediate, bulk, and finished products. It also includes where applicable, environmental monitoring programs, review of batch documentation, sample retention program, stability studies and maintaining correct specifications of materials and products. Grovemark makes sure, very sure, that only the rich goodness of mother nature touch your delicate skin.

STORAGE

Our storage areas have sufficient capacity to allow orderly storage of the various categories of materials and products such as the raw materials and packaging materials, intermediates, bulk and finished products, quarantine products, and released, rejected, returned, or recalled products. These areas are designed or adapted to ensure good storage conditions which are clean, dry and well-maintained. Where special storage conditions are required (temperature and humidity) the location are provided with the required storage facility and are constantly monitored.

DISTRIBUTION

Marketing and distribution of the Grovemark end products is transparent and carried out with vigour. We ensure delivery of our products to retailers is hassle free and smooth. We have a system of recall of products from the market in case of defects, which is very rare. The progress of the recall process is recorded and a final report is issued, including reconciliation between the delivered and recovered quantities of the products.
